Notice to all TPO Members

Published on Friday, 13 March 2020.

Dear Members,

We've been actively monitoring the situation with regard to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our top priority is to ensure the welfare of our employees whilst also ensuring that we will continue to maintain the level of service that agents and consumers have come to expect from us.

At the moment, it is business as normal for TPO. However, we are taking steps to mitigate the impact of the changing situation in-line with guidance from UK authorities. This includes a provision for as many employees as possible to work from home when required. We are regularly monitoring the situation and will update you in due course should there be unavoidable changes to our service.

For TPO agents, we appreciate and acknowledge that, like us, your priority will be to ensure the welfare of your employees. Whilst it is currently business as normal, complaints should be dealt with in the usual way. However, if services have to change and complaints cannot be dealt with in the usual way, please ensure that this is communicated to complainants in writing. Should a complaint be subsequently escalated to TPO, we will then be able to take this into account.

Kind regards

The Property Ombudsman
