Sales agents across the country celebrate their success at national awards and fly the flag for TPO

Top-performing estate agents from across the country celebrated their commitment to raising standards in the property industry at a prestigious awards ceremony held this month.

The Estate Agent of the Year Awards recognise outstanding companies in the industry, from independent agencies to franchises and large chains, and the vast majority of winners were registered with The Property Ombudsman (TPO) which provides an independent dispute resolution service to agents and consumers.

More than 40 awards were presented to TPO agents that follow the scheme’s CTSI-approved* Codes of Practice to offer enhanced levels of consumer protection to home movers.

Gerry Fitzjohn, TPO Vice Chairman, acted as Arbiter on the day of judging. Commenting on the success of the awards, Mr Fitzjohn said:

“I was thrilled to see so many TPO members receive prestigious accolades for their hard work. The winners have really raised the bar and showcased the innovative ways agents are evolving to deliver outstanding customer service.

“The calibre of the award entries was phenomenal, with categories recognising not just the best sales and marketing initiatives, but the best customer service, training & development, and the best agents to work for, while the individual awards showcased the exceptional talent we have in the industry. It was a pleasure to stand among them at the ceremony and see their passion for property first hand.”

Christopher Hamer, who stepped down as Property Ombudsman in November, won a special ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award for his nine years at TPO and ongoing support of the awards as Chair of the Judging Panel.
