This interim report from me as The Property Ombudsman covers the work of my office for the period 1 May 2011 to 31 August 2011.

The report also includes in summary form, examples of cases considered and resolved by my office. The sales cases relate specifically to property misdescription disputes which are covered by the TPO Code of Practice for Residential Estate Agents and the Property Misdescriptions Act, the latter of which is currently the subject of a Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) consultation paper.
